The Breitling Emergency functions as an instrument watch featuring an integrated microtransmitter that broadcasts on the aircraft emergency frequency. Acting as a complement to the aircraft's distress signal, the watch, when its antenna is fully extended, transmits for 48 hours. Across flat terrain or calm seas, the signal can reach approximately 100 miles. For professional wear, the Emergency requires servicing every two years.
